Honda Motorcycle and Scooter Logs Growth in March

Chennai, Apr 2 (IANS): Two-wheeler maker Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd closed the month at 220,487 units sold, up from 147,301 units sold in March 2011.

The March sales included 82,353 motorcycles and 138,134 scooters. The March 2011 sales of 147,301 included 65,899 motorcycles and 81,402 scooters.

According to the statement, the company might close fiscal 2011-12 with a total sale of 2,107,228 units (motorcycle 866,457 units, scooter 1,240,771 units) up from 1,656,727 (motorcycle 748,895 units, scooter 907,832 units) sold during April 2010-March 2011.
