Moodbidri: 16-year-old Denzil Lobo Drowns in Phalguni River

Moodbidri, Apr 3: In a tragic incident, 16-year-old Denzil Preetham Lobo, son of Philomena and Denis Lobo from Gantalkatta, drowned in Moodbidri Phalguni river at Devaragundi while playing in water with his friends.

It is reported that he lost his balance suddenly and fell into the water and was washed away by the waves. He did not know swimming, and hence could not save himself.

His friends who watched helplessly, shouted for help from people in the vicinity. But it was too late and Denzil could not be saved.
