Mumbai, Oct 22: Filmmaker duo Raj and DK have completed the shooting of the second season of ‘Farzi’, starring Shahid Kapoor, whom they described as an “artist”.

Sharing a behind-the-scenes moment from the sets on Instagram, the filmmakers praised Shahid for his performance and revealed that he promptly stepped out of character after the shoot.

“It’s a wrap on the Artist and he promptly breaks out of character! Fantastic job @shahidkapoor. We got some crazy s**t done this time! To the Fakers!” they wrote.

On October 15, Shahid had shared his thoughts on his character Sunny as the shooting of ‘Farzi 2’ approached its conclusion. Posting a series of pictures showcasing his looks from the sets, the actor reflected on how deeply the character had become a part of him.

“As the shoot on FARZI 2 is coming to a close. It only reminds me of how much Sunny lives in me. I am him and he is me. We both started as just a kid off the Mumbai streets with a fire in his heart to tell the world…. look at me. I AM AN ARTIST!!” Shahid wrote.

‘Farzi’ is a black comedy crime thriller series created, produced and directed by Raj and DK. The show features Vijay Sethupathi, Shahid Kapoor, Kay Kay Menon, Raashii Khanna and Bhuvan Arora.

Released in 2023, the eight-episode series follows a disillusioned artist who turns to counterfeiting currency. The series also shares continuity with Raj and DK’s spy thriller ‘The Family Man’. It premiered on Amazon Prime Video on February 10, 2023.
