New Delhi, Oct 22: Global travel platform TravClan on Thursday announced that it has raised USD 5 million in funding from Flipkart and August One, along with debt financing from Trifecta Capital.
The company will use the funds to expand its global supply network, strengthen its technology and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, and improve destination operations across key international markets, TravClan said in a statement.
TravClan co-founder and CEO Arun Bagaria said the next generation of travel software would go beyond helping sellers search faster and increasingly focus on executing tasks for them.
The company aims to build an infrastructure platform that travel businesses can use instead of developing an entire technology system independently, he said, adding that the fresh capital would support investments in this direction.
