Media Release

Mangaluru, Oct 29: The department of MBA, School of Business and Management, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), organised a national conference on 'Future-ready organizations: AI, digital transformation, innovation, sustainability & human-centric leadership' at the AIMIT Centre, Beeri, on October 29. The conference was inaugurated by Haridas S P Acharya and Pranjal Ghate.

Delivering the keynote address, chief guest Haridas S P Acharya highlighted the growing importance of artificial intelligence in business and stressed the need for its ethical use, supported by critical thinking and human intervention. He underlined the potential of digital transformation to improve business efficiency and development, emphasising empathy in business decisions and lifelong learning to remain relevant in a rapidly changing professional environment.

The technical session was led by Pranjal Ghate, economist at Brickwork Ratings, who examined the influence of geopolitics on India's macroeconomic conditions. Comparing economic indicators across developing economies, he cautioned students against drawing conclusions solely from numerical data and encouraged critical analysis. Introducing the concept of “Three Indias within One Country,” he explained the diversity of India's economic realities through differences in per capita income and expenditure patterns.

He also engaged participants in exploring opportunities for Indian and global businesses and concluded with a SWOT analysis of the Indian economy. The sessions offered valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities shaping future-ready organisations.
