Mangaluru, Nov 5: Dr N Shreyas Shetty has secured the first rank in MS Orthopaedics from K S Hegde Medical Academy, NITTE (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru.
The 16th annual convocation of NITTE (Deemed to be University) is scheduled to be held on Friday, November 6.
During his postgraduate training, Dr Shreyas presented six research papers and seven posters at national and state-level conferences. He also won the best poster award at a national-level conference.
He has completed a Rs 2 lac university-funded research project along with his PG guide Dr Sanath Kumar Shetty. With a keen interest in research, he has about six scientific publications to his credit, including one in the prestigious British Medical Journal (BMJ). He has also reviewed scientific manuscripts for medical journals.
He is the only son of Shrinivas Shetty (retired ALC, government of India) and Saraswathi Shetty.
Dr Shreyas is currently working at Srinivas Medical College, Mangaluru.
