Kasargod: Motorcyclist Dies in Collision at Chengala-Panala

Kasargod, Apr 6: A motorcyclist was killed and two others injured in a motorcycle and scooter collision at Chengala–Panala on the national highway, near here, on Wednesday April 4.

The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Mohammed Sheriff, resident of Talangare Teruvat old railway station. He was a fisheries labourer.

Forty-year-old Harish and Vinay Kumar were injured and are admitted in a co-operative hospital at Chengala, near here.

The accident occurred at about 2.30 pm on Wednesday when Sheriff was returning from the construction site of his house at Panala, near here. He was thrown on the road as a result of the impact. The critically injured Sheriff was taken to hospital in Mangalore by the locals and he breathed his last enroute.

He is survived by his wife and three children.
