Bangalore: Four Held for Murder of Security Guard

Bangalore, Apr 7 (DHNS): The Jayanagar police have arrested four persons for the murder of Janakidas alias Jan, who was found dead at Bellakempanahalli near Bidadi on March 7.

Tabrez Khan (26) from JP Nagar, Mohammad Mehtab (24) from Jayanagar 3rd block, Mohammad Shadab Ali (20) from HBR Layout and Imran Baig (26) from Shivajinagar are the arrested.

Jan was an employee of Total Security Agency and was posted at SK Jamal Apartments in BTM Layout 2nd Stage, since 2010.

Acting on a tip-off, the police rounded up the gang members near Rajalakshmi Marriage Hall at Jayanagar at 11 pm on March 31.

Another member of the gang, Babu from Tannery Road, managed to escape.


Police said Jan, who was also a friend of Tabrez, stole a car belonging to Saifuddin, one of the residents at SK Jamal Apartments.

Jan was promised money by Tabrez for the car, as he was in the business of making alterations to stolen cars and selling them. When Tabrez started avoiding Jan whenever the payment issue was raised, Jan threatened to approach the police.

Tabrez and his friends took Jan in the car on March 7, saying the money would be delivered in Ramanagaram. On Mysore Road, the gang members strangled Jan with a rope and dumped the body near Bidadi.

A murder case was registered by the local police on March 8. All the four arrested have been sent to judicial custody.

Probably this is the first time you are able to see your name in print, resulting in your comments on practically every subject. If you have noticed the hits on DISAGREE on your commetns you should have got the message that people hit disagree even when they don't read your rantings - to cut a long story short - you seem to be a hard core element spewing poison and hatred - on this issue we are talking of a man murdered and you are talking of cow slaughter - wake up Malhotra - start eating Beef if you have not already done so.
