Mangalore: Frustrated by Illness, Man Commits Suicide

Mangalore, Apr 9: A person on a visit to his elder sister’s home at Koikude in Attur village committed suicide by consuming poison. A complaint in this connection was filed at Mulky police station.

Dinesh Shettigar (29), a native of Nadubettu near Mandarti in Udupi district, was on a visit to his sister’s home here. He used to work for a private entity in Bangalore. It is said that he was frustrated by certain ailments he suffered from. After consuming poison, he was writhing in pain. He was admitted into a hospital, but he could not be saved, although efforts were made to save him, it is gathered.

A case has been registered in Mulky police station. The police have begun investigation.
