Udupi: Brahmavar Sports Club Sets up Tennis Academy in District

Udupi, Apr 10: The tennis academy founded by Brahmavar Sports Club was inaugurated during a function held at S M S College auditorium, Brahmavar, on Saturday April 7.

Farmer MLA P Basavaraj, after inaugurating the academy, said that playing tennis is helpful in maintaining a good physique and also in enjoying the game.  He also urged the beginners to reach excellence in tennis through systematic practice.

SMS College principal Professor K Narayanan presided over the programme.

Former tennis player H Gopalakrishna Shetty and Udupi District Tennis Association president U Damodar were present on the occasion.

Brahmavar Sports Club president Dr Prakash Tolar welcomed the gathering. Secretary Gregory D’Silva proposed the vote of thanks. Club convener M Chandrashekar Hegde delivered the introductory address. Roshan Kumar Shetty compered the programme.
