Mangalore: P P Upadhya Appointed Managing Director of MRPL

Mangalore, Apr 13: Government of India vide its letter dated Friday April 13, has appointed P P Upadhya, director technical, Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) as managing director of MRPL, with effect from July 1, 2012.

P P Upadhya is a chemical engineer from the reputed Karnataka Regional Engineering college, Suratkal (presently NITK, Suratkal) and holds Masters in Engineering in chemical plant design from the same institute.

P P Upadhya started his professional career in India's foremost Fortune Global 200 oil company - Indian Oil Corporation Limited in 1978 and served for nearly 15 years before he joined MRPL in 1993 and played a vital role in steering MRPL to unprecedented heights in the refinery performance.

P P Upadhya carries with him over three decades of professional experience in refinery operation and management. He is also a member in the Petronet Mangalore - Hassan Bangalore pipeline board representing ONGC.

P P Upadhya is a widely travelled, astute thinker in the energy industry and carries with him the wealth of interactions at international fora and the advantages of knowledge networking.

    Congratulations Mr. Upadhya being appointed as Managing Director of MRPL. Please for God sake go through 'SON OF THE SOIL' policy in filling up the vacancies.MRPL has already employed sufficient number of other-state workers.
