Mangalore, Apr 13: A robbery of Rs 2,87,000 has been reported from Hampankatta here on Friday April 13.
The incident took place at Sri Laxmi Finance at around 8.30 pm.
Koragappa Shenava, the manager of the finance firm was closing down the shutters at the end of the day, with a bag of money in his hand which he was supposed to hand over to his boss.
Just then two unidentified miscreants appeared from behind and snatched his bag, it is said. Before he could stop them they fled the spot.
It is learnt that the bag contained Rs 2,87,000 in cash.
Bunder police have registered a case.
