M'lore Basketball Club Boys Win State Sub-Junior Basketball Championship

Mangalore, Apr 14: Mangalore basketball club boys team won the state sub – junior basketball championship (B S Narayan Memorial Cup) organized by the Karnataka State Basketball Association at Kanteerava Stadium, Bangalore.

The team includes Noel, Amruth, Rabindra, Naveen Shetty (president), Aditya Mehele (coach), Elston, Sahil, Aplash, Kedar, Pranav, Sowfun, Hemanth, Mohammed, Kedar and Shaun.

In the final league match they beat Jayanagar Sports Club, Bangalore 45-22. In other semi-final league matches Mangalore Basketball Club beat young Orions, Bangalore 43-41, beat Sports School, Chandargi 40-20.

Total number of 40 teams in boys section and 25 teams in the girls section have taken part in the championship.
