Mangalore: Vikas Holiday Camp Inaugurated at Kalaangann

Mangalore, Apr 14: Vikas Holiday Cultural Camp was inaugurated here at Kalaangann, Shaktinagar on Saturday, April 14.

Richard D'Souza, president, M C C Qatar inaugurated it by putting on a mask onto one of the attendees of the camp.

"We must not learn cultural forms merely for personal sake. We need to make use of them for the betterment of the society. Then only a society can change for better, said Richard DSouza.

Stany Alvares, president, Mandd Sobhaan presided the inaugural function.  Anil Patrao, Lenoy Lobo, Christopher DSouza, Avil DCruz, Nandita Sequeira, Ronie Crasta were present on the dais as resouce persons.

The  in-house camp will go on until April 22 under the direction of Mandd Sobhann gurkar Eric Ozario. Children will learn dance, singing, basics of theatre and learn Konkani language.

A total of 55 students are taking part in this camp
