Mangalore: Carmelites of Infant Jesus Shrine Celebrate Feast of Divine Mercy

Mangalore, Apr 16: The feast of Divine Mercy was celebrated at Infant Jesus Shrine, St Joseph’s Monastery, Carmel Hill, Bikarnakatte, on Sunday April 15.

Fr Andrew D’Souza, parish priest, St Lawrence parish, Bondel, was the main celebrant of the festal Holy Mass.  He celebrated the Holy Mass along with Carmelite Fr Patrick Lobo and Fr Elias D’Souza on the occasion.

In his homily, Fr Andrew emphasized that divine mercies are aplenty for mankind which seeks its brethren to forgive each other for spiritual awakening.

Divine Mercy novenas began on April 6 Good Friday and concluded with the festal celebration on Sunday evening.

Thousands of faithful from across the city deanery attended the festal Holy Mass.
