Although Tulsi has good medicinal values, I do not agree with the statement that innumerable Gods are present in it..!!!???? Although it purifies mind and environment, our mangalore peoples mind gets corrupted day by day..!!!???? May be instead of eating it we are offering it to "God"..!!???

Dear CK Dayanada, I likes your first part of comment! Second part looks a bit selfish! Let people eat what they like! You can not get success since you can not convince people of whole world.

It is said in the Puranas that a 'Tulabharam'was once done on Sri.Krishna. When all jewels, diamonds, precious stones, gold etc, etc could not stand upto his weight, everyone rushed to his wife, Rukmini for advice. She with all devotion had the gold and jewellery replaced with a 'Single Tulasi Twig'. This more than matched Sri Krishna's weight. For the devout Vaishnavaas, no Puja or Holy recitation is complete without it's final offering to Sri Krishna and invariably a 'Tulsi Twig' is a must on each ocassion.

Daijiworld thanks for publishing importance of "Thulsi".
Thulsi is the sacred plant dearer to the "Lord Vishnu". It can be used as a herbal tea. A Hindu house is considered incomplete without the "Tulsi plant" at courtyard. Tulsi oil is also used as the ear ......
