London, July 4 (IBNS) India's Leander Paes and his Russian partner Elena Vesnina moved into the third round of the mixed doubles with a comfortable win over Ashley Fisher of Australia and Mona Bartheli of Germany in the Wimbledon here Wednesday.
The fourth-seeded Indo-Russian pair won 6-3, 6-3 against the unseeded Australian-German combine.
Paes and Vesnina next face the Belarussian pair of Max Mirnyi and Victoria Azarenka. Mirnyi and Azarenka defeated the 13th seeded Italian pair of Fabio Fogini and Sara Errani 6-3, 6-2
Another Indian Rohan Bopanna and his Chinese partner Jie Zheng found it easy as they received a walkover in their second round against Marcelo Melo of Brazil and Vera Zvonareva of Russia.
Bopanna and Zheng next face the sixth seeded Italian pair of Daniele Bracciali and Robert Vinci. The Italians won 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 against German duo Phillip Petzschner and Angelique Kerber.
