Moscow, Jul 13 (IANS/RIA Novosti): Guus Hiddink suggested Friday that he does not plan to stay as coach of big spending Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala in the long term.
Hiddink, 65, joined Anzhi in February on a six-month deal with an option for a further year which he has since taken up.
"Understand, I'm no longer young and, anyway, the time will come when I should step aside for younger people," he said when asked about his contract.
"Let's not look that far. At the moment I like to work side by side with young people, I charge up my energy from them."
Hiddink led Anzhi to a fifth-place finish in his first season at the club, earning the team Europa League football, although they will be forced to play their home games at a neutral stadium after UEFA banned their home province of Dagestan from hosting games over security concerns.
