Moodbidri: John D’Silva Foundation Felicitates SSLC Toppers of Deanery

Moodbidri, Jul 16: Catholic Sabha of Moodbidri deaneries that include Karkala, Moodbidri, and Beltangady, of Mangalore diocese organized the felicitation of SSLC toppers of every parish in association with John D’Silva Foundation at Our Lady of Succour’s parish, Gantalkatte, on Sunday July 15.

Speaking on the occasion, D’Silva, founder chairman of John D’Silva Foundation, urged the community youth to aspire for higher studies and secure better jobs. “The community has to actively contest in village councils, societies, associations, schools, and colleges, which would be helpful to come to the mainstream of society,” added D’Silva.


 

 

 

 



 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

               

 
Fr Patrick Rodrigues, director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions, was the chief guest on the occasion.  He urged the community to take an active role in society.

Moodbidri deanery Catholic Sabha president Valerian Sequeira presided over the programme.

Gantalkatte parish priest Fr Vernon Vaz inaugurated the programme.
 
Gantalkatte parish Catholic Sabha unit president Melvyn D’Costa welcomed the gathering.  Alwyn Santosh Menezes proposed the vote of thanks.  Sunil Miranda and national award winner teacher Nakre George Castelino compered the programme.
