Kundapur, Jul 16: “The state has no effective government and the changing of chief ministers by the same party has been causing hindrances to state officials.  The state has a history of several effective governments reigning in the past.  The state-led BJP government has created a dubious history by following anti-democratic means through corrupt administration, favouritism, and groupism,” said MP Jayaprakash Hegde.

He was speaking after inaugurating the installation ceremony of booth-level Congress presidents at Gangolli gram panchayat and inviting people to join the Congress party. It was organized by Vandse block Congress committee at Veeresha Mangalya Mandir, Gangolli, on Saturday July 14.

“BJP is not a trusted party.  I was invited to join BJP when I contested as independent candidate, but did not accept their offer and instead joined the Congress,” added Hegde.

Vandse block Congress president Sampigedi Sanjeev Shetty presided over the programme on Saturday afternoon.

Udupi District Congress Committee (DCC) president K Gopal Poojary, KPCC member H Manjayya Shetty, Byndoor youth Congress president Subramanya Poojary, ZP member Anant Mowady, ZP former vice-president H Raju Devadiga, Vandse women Congress president Sadhu S Billava, backward classes unit president Vijay Kumar Putran, Gangolli rural Congress committee honorary president Khalif Younus, president Durgaraj Poojary, SCST district president S Narayan, and KPCC member Raghuram Shetty were present on the occasion.

Seventy-five activists of different parties including JD(S) and BJP joined Congress.

Nada Satish Nayak and Srikant Achar compered the programme.  Dinesh Poojary Gangolli proposed the vote of thanks.

I understand you want good people like Halady in your party since congress has not produced any good people.

Halady joining congress will not happen dude. Shettar convinced him already. Don't assume impossible things.

Even so called good politician JP Hegde is not original congress guy. If he is so good why lost both assembly and MP elections in 2008 & 2009?

We are seeing his goodness thru his work. Italy madam has kept him quite.

    Hegde Sir,
Everyone is aware of what you have stated above and it is not an exception with any party. Can you tell me which party is not corrupt.

Instead of raising allegation all the time, better to think of and do something good about the region. Then people will automatically understand and appreciate the efforts of any party.
