Mangalore: Ramakrishna PU College Students Union Council Inaugurated

Mangalore, Jul 16: The youth are increasingly becoming victims of drugs that has an adverse effect on the society.  The need of the hour is to create a society free of drug abuse especially among youth.  Of late, the media has been glorifying the crime.  The students have to be extra careful in this regard. 

They have to take part in cultural activities and also in the college union, in order to develop their personality, said ACP Subaschandra ACP Subaschandra was speaking after inaugurating Ramakrishna Pre-University College students union council, here on Monday July 16.

Mangalore University syndicate member Harish Acharya was the chief guest of the occasion.

Harish Acharya said that the future of the nation depends on the students, while just protests can solve many national issues.

He also presented the cultural and student’s union council report to respective student representatives at the same occasion.

Bantara Yane Nadavara Matra Sangh secretary and college correspondent M Sundar Shetty presided the programme.

The college principal Navin Shetty K officiated the oath taking ceremony for student representatives – III BBM student Akhil as union president, Satyaprabha as secretary, Jyoti as joint secretary, Shubhakar as sports secretary and cultural secretary.
Head of the department of commerce Pratima Shetty welcomed the gathering.  Anusha Shetty compered the programme.
