Mangalore: Cloistered Nuns Celebrate Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel

Mangalore, Jul 17: Cloistered Carmel, Kankanady, celebrated the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel on Monday July 16.
 
Fr James Pius D’Souza celebrated the festal mass along with Fr Henry Sequeira, Fr Valerian D’Souza and other clergies at the chapel of Cloistered Carmel, Kankanady, at 5.30 pm on Monday.

Fr Gregory D’Souza, in his homily, explained the origins of Carmelites and their growth worldwide.
 
Fr James Pius D’Souza thanked the congregation who serve the Lord in prayers and good deeds behind the screen.
 
The scapulars of Mother Mary were distributed to the faithful as a sign of blessings from Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
