Mangalore: Catholic Sabha of Milagres Parish Hosts Seminar on Environment Conservation

Mangalore, Jul 17: Catholic Sabha of Milagres parish organized a seminar on ‘Environment Conservation’ held at the Church Hall here on Monday July 16.

Fr Ronald Cutinha, director of Samanvaya, was the resource person.

In his address, Fr Cutinha advised the gathering on various ways in which one can contribute to protecting the environment and emphasized that it is the responsibility of everyone to protect it. With the help of a power point presentation, he explained about the long term ill-affects of overuse and misuse of natural resources.

He stressed about the harmful effects of pollution caused due to letting smoke into the air, chemicals into the river by factories, and various others. More importance was stressed on trash being burned out on roads which helps in growth of dreadful diseases.

MP Lobo, president, Milagres Catholic Sabha, welcomed the gathering and Lynet D’Souza compered.

Rudolph Periera gave a brief introduction on Fr Ronald Cutinho’s profile, his contributions to society, and Bernard D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks.

Valerian D’Souza, parish priest, Anil D’Souza, vice-president, Catholic Sabha, Nyzil Pereira, Anne D’Souza, and Honora Pereira were present.

    Good Program Catholic sabha must Force milagres church to move into solar Power for the church. We can see huge lights glowing throughout night focussing the church building consuming mesom power. Please force to impliment LED Solar based power source. Also encourage prohibation of four wheel parking at church ground this create huge smoke for devotees as well as patients of Govt Hospital.

    Catholic sabha members should promote cycling tooo.
