Kundapur: Student Council Inaugurated at St Mary's P U College

Kundapur, Jul 20: The student council for the new academic year was installed at the St Mary’s P U College here recently. Abhinandan Shetty graced the occaission as the chief guest and parish priest of Kundapur Holy Rosary church,Fr Anil Dsouza presided over the function.

The programme began with a prayer dance conducted by the students followed by the welcome speech delivered by Preethi Crasta. The dignitaries were bestowed with flower garlands.









The council was sworn in with Fr Anil Dsouza leading the group with the oath. On this occasion
 the newly elected president of the student council, Sagar, expressed his gratitude to the students for choosing him as the rightful candidate and promised to deliver his best during the year.

The guest of honour Abhinandad Shetty advised the students saying that only education doesn’t not mould a society or an individual, but students must be proactive and readily face the challenges in the world.

President of the function Fr Anil Dsouza in his speech told the students to excel in life as well as in their studies. He congratulated the students and the newly elected council and showered his blessings on all the members.

The students showcased their singing talents with a patriotic song.

The vote of thanks was given by Glawice , newly elected secretary and the programme ended with the National Anthem.
