Udupi, Jul 26: ‘The Gallery’ an exhibition cum sale of artworks by various artists of Udupi district was inaugurated at Benaka Towers on Rajathadri Road, Manipal here on Wednesday July 25.
Tharanga weekly managing editor Sandya S Pai, inaugurating the exhibition said that, Udupi which is known as the land of artists consists of a lot of talent. The Gallery which is started with the aim of availing the artworks to art lover may evoke good response and appreciation, she said.
Entrepreneur Pramod Madhwaraj said that the art life of an artist attain perfection when his or her art work reaches the home of art lovers. He asserted there is need for more art lovers who buy these works.
Dr N B Vijay Ballal, trustee of Ambalapady Janardhana and Mahakali temple said that the scent of art will spread across when it is kept for public display.
Artist Raghupathi Bhat was present. Vrikshakala Gururaj Sanil welcomedthe gathering. Narendra P Nayak delivered the vote of thanks.
