Udupi: BJP to Stage Protest Against UPA, Hold Membership Drive

Udupi, Aug 31: Udupi district BJP president Uday Kumar Shetty said that BJP will organize a protest on Sunday September 2, in Brahmahavar against the UPA government for its role in Rs 1,86,000 coalgate scam.
 
Geethanjali Suvarna, president for BJP backward classes morcha said that on September 1, BJP will organize a conference which will be inaugurated by deputy chief minister K S Eshwarappa , former chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda and district in charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary. They will be the chief guests on the occasion.
 
Besides the conference, the leaders of the party will tour and visit all Shakthi Kendras, Zilla panchayat, Gram Panchayat and CMC wards.
 
Speaking to the media Udupi district BJP president Uday Kumar Shetty said that the “Maha Sadhyasatha Abhiyan” is organized on September 10, where the people's representatives from the party and party leaders in the district will tour the entire district urging people to join the party, he added.
 
Udupi district BJP is also organizing a membership drive from September 9 to 16 in the district.

The party was able to induct as many as 99,250 new members into the party at the membership drive organized last year. It aims to achieve a membership of one lac this year.

    If BJP is a clean party, they are having full right to conduct the above morcha. When the party is involved in so many scams, they are not supposed to do the above act.

    Rs. 1,86,000 - These jokers don't even know the actual figures. How about the Rs. 152 billion iron ore scam by Reddy and Yeddy.......
