Kota: Two Houses Damaged Due To Heavy Rains

Kota, Sept 1:  Two houses belonging to Dyavamma Devadiga and Shantha Devadiga, near Giliyaru, were damaged due to heavy rains, here on Friday August 31.

After initial signs of collapsing, the members of the house immediately rushed out. As a result no harm was caused to human life.

The assets inside the house are said to be completely damaged resulting in a huge loss.

Member of zilla panchayat Sunitha Rajaram, Udupi taluk panchayat president Bharath Kumar Shetty, Kota gram panchayat member Ajith Devadiga, Pandu Poojary, Gopal Pai, Kota revenue officer Madhava Kotari, gram panchayat development officer Subhash visited the spot.

Halady Srinivas Shetty, former minister also assured support to the families for re-construction of the houses.
