Puttur, Sep 4: A 58-year-old teacher of Sunkadakatte government higher primary school was electrocuted at his residence in Bilinele on Monday September 3 evening.
The deceased has been identified as Diwakar Gowda Naduthota.
It is learnt that Diwakar was electrocuted while repairing a pump set. He was immediately rushed to Kadaba hospital but died on the way.
Diwakar is originally from Naduthota in Kaikamba, son of Thimmappa Gowda. For the past few years he was residing in Bilinele.
He served in various schools like Kaikamba higher primary school, Kodimbala Madyadka higher primary school, Puttila Bailadka School. For the past four years he was teaching at Sunkadakatte government higher primary school.
Diwakar had also won ‘Best Teacher’ award. He is survived by his mother, wife and two children.
