Mangalore, Sep 4: Grandparents are a delightful blend of laughter, caring deeds, wonderful stories and love. They are remembered not with rose petals but in the laughter and tears of their children and their children's children. To honour these special gems of the society and to inculcate love and respect towards them, all the grandparents of kindergarten, Lourdes Central School were recently invited to a unique event ‘Grandparents Day’.

Edwin Marian Netto, popularly known as Edi Netto, an author and social activist was the chief guest of the day. The programme began with a prayer dance thanking the Lord for all his blessings. The principal, Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest.
