Bantwal, Sep 5: B Ramanath Rai, MLA laid foundation for the various developmental works in Balthila gram, BR Nagar on Tuesday September 4.

Around Rs 25 lac has been sanctioned to this colony to provide basic necessities like drinking water, cleanliness and for construction of concrete road. The colony houses residents belonging to the scheduled castes and tribes.

Chandraprakash Shetty, member of Dakshina Kannada zilla panchayat, Dinesh Amtoor, vice president of Bantwal taluk panchayat, Laxmigopal Acharya, president of Balthila gram panchayat, Narayan Nayak, assistant engineer, Padmaraj Gowda, junior engineer, Padmanab Naringan, Chandrashekar Poojary, Kalladka Dinesh Shenoy, Janardhan, Zakaria, Abdul Hameed, Purushottam Poojary, Janardhan Bayla, Keshav Mularu, Koti Poojary, Monappa Daasa Kodi, contractor Lohithaksha were present.
