Kasargod, Sep 6: In a tragic incident, a 7-year old boy drowned in a pond at Cherkala here on Wednesday September 5.
The boy has been identified as Abhishek, son of Satyabail from Pandi in Cherkala.
Sources said that the boy was missing for a while. Parents on the lookout, soon found the body which was drowned in a pond near the house.
It is assumed that the boy must have accidently slipped into the pond.
The body was retrieved and was rushed to hospital but all the efforts went in vain as he died on the way.
A case has been registered at the Vidyanagar police station.
