KMC, Mangalore Conducts Free Medical Camp at Bhatkal Govt Hospital

Bhatkal, Sep 11: KMC, Mangalore conducted a free cardiology and spine surgery camp recently at the Bhatkal government hospital under the aegis of Rotary club Bhatkal, Rabita Society, Sevavahini, and Salagadde Sports Club.

The camp was inaugurated by Bhatkal’s new assistant commissioner VR Manohar. In his address, he said that the camp has been conducted not only for the poor people but other sections of the society must also utilize this camp.

He said this free camp should be conducted in Bhatkal twice a month so that people can avail complete treatment. He congratulated the four main organizers for conducting the camp.

The newly appointed assistant superintendent police of  Bhatkal, Sudeer Kumar Reddy said that there are  good hospitals in the city but they lack doctors and specialists , he urged the people to make the best use of such camps.

The organizers informed that the KMC hospital has launched a special heart screening package at a discounted amount of Rs 1600, this package includes complete blood count, fasting blood sugar, serum creatinine, lipid profile, ECG, 4D ECHO, dietician and cardiology consultation.

Dr Rajesh Chitranjan(interventional cordiologist), Dr Ishwar Keerthi (spine surgeon), Dr Anand Venugopal (deputy medical superintendent) among others were present at the inaugural of the camp.

IFS Diviya Prabha, Sadullah Damda (rotary club president), Surender Shanbhag (sevavahini president), Manazir Sukri (manager rabita society) were present on stage.
