Mangalore: F1 Experience Awaits Vodafone Contest Winners

Mangalore, Sep 11: For the second year in a row, Vodafone Essar, India, has conducted a contest for the small and medium enterprises of the country.

Among ten different cities in India, Mangalore has been selected to be a part of this extravaganza called the ‘Vodafone Race to Fame’. In lieu of this, the second round of the competition was conducted at the Taj Gateway Hotel here in on September 10.

In Mangalore, 5 contestants reached the finals of the second rounds. Abhinav Bansal of Bright Packaging Pvt Ltd and Mukund Kamath from the Ideal Ice-cream Company were declared as winners from the city.

Around 100 visionaries from different enterprises in Mangalore witnessed this corporate event on September 10. Mohandas Prabhu (Ex President of Chamber of Commerce, Mangalore), Lata Kini (Ex President of Chamber of Commerce, Mangalore) and Sunil Parsani (vice president of enterprises business Vodafone Karnataka) were the three judges of the competition.

The contest involves three different qualifying rounds. The first round being an online registration, wherein the companies need to register themselves and give an overview of their enterprise in the best possible manner.

The selected entries will then move into the second round during which a series of discussions will be conducted after which the contestant will foray into the final round to be conducted in Delhi. There will be a total of 20 finalists at the finale round.

The contest winner will have their company logo on the F1 McLaren Mercedes car for a period of one year. Lewis Hamilton is the driver for this car, Vodafone Essar are one of the main sponsors for the F1 McLaren.

The winners of the contest would be accommodated along with the F1 team; they will also get a chance to support the team at the pit stop and will get a guaranteed ticket into the Grand stand at the circuit.

The whole event will be telecasted in a five part series on 'ET now' who is the main media partner.
