Moodbidri : Alva’s Nudisiri from Nov 16


Moodbidri: Sept 12 : The prestigious annual national Kannada literary fest, Alva’s Nudisiri, will be held at Vidyagiri in Moodbidri from November 16 to 18.

M Mohan Alva of the Alva’s Education Foundation, the organisers, told a press conference that the festival this year would feature three special lectures, four story reading sessions, poets’ sessions, among others.

Ten achievers in various disciplines will be conferred the ‘Alva’s Nudisiri’ award. Cultural programmes are slated to be held on various stages at the venue. The inaugural programme will be held after the procession of the conference president on November 16.

Mohan Alva said that the decennial edition of the fest will be held next year and the celebrations will begin in January. ‘Nudisiri’ units have already been set up in Mysore, Mandya, Tumkur and Teerthahalli for the celebrations.
