Kota, Sep 12: Dr Nagesh Gundmi, medical officer of Kandlur Primary Health Centre has been elected as the president of Karnataka State Medical Officers Association, Udupi district wing for the year 2012-2013.

Dr Ramchandra Bayari, Udupi district health officer and Dr Anand Nayak, District surgeon (honorary president), Dr Prakash Shetty, Maala Karkala Primary Health Centre medical officer (secretary), Dr Madhusudhan Nayak, Udupi district hospital surgeon, Dr Uday Shankar, Kundapur taluk hospital surgeon, Dr Jnanesh, Kamath, Karkala taluk hospital anaesthetist (vice presidents), Dr Anil, Kota community health centre medical officer  (treasurer), Dr Sushma Hegde, Brahmavar government hospital medical officer, Dr Krishnanand Shetty, Karkala taluk hospital medical officer, Vasudev, Udupi district hospital psychiatrist ( joint secretaries), Dr Surynarayan, Pethri Health Centre Medical officer (coordinating secretary), Dr Vasudeva Upadya, Shirva hospital medical officer , Dr Prathap, Korgi hospital medical officer (internal auditors) were the other elected members.
