'Alex Pandian' Promises High-octane Action

Chennai, Nov 10 (IANS): Tamil action-thriller "Alex Pandian" will feature some never-seen-before action sequences, according to the film's makers.

"The film will feature hero Karthi in some of the never-seen-before daredevilry stunts. One particular stunt atop a moving train shot near Mysore involving hero and villain's henchmen will draw a lot of attention. Karthi didn't use body double for the stunts," said a statement on behalf of the makers.

Directed by Suraj, "Alex Pandian" is about an aimless and irresponsible guy, played by Karthi. Despite having no purpose in life, he manages to earn the wrath of many. It also features Anushka Shetty, Santhanam, Suman and Mano Bala.

Bollywood model-turned-actor Milind Soman, who previously played a baddie in Karthi's Tamil action-comedy "Paiyya", will be seen as an antagonist.

The film was shot in places like Chennai, Salakudi, Hyderabad, Vishakhapatnam, Mysore and few other places in north India.

As many as 12 sets were erected by art director Prabhakar to shoot the songs of the film, which has music by Devi Sri Prasad.

The film, which is currently in post-production phase, is likely to released in January 2013.
