On one side you have people waiting for a child in their life and are ready to adopt
On another side you have such cases of pure selfish greed..

Why cant the Govt Just change the laws to may it easy for both sides and help resolve thier issue. Make it easy to Adopt while the same to Give away your child if you cannot take care of it. You would rather see the child in someone elses arms then in a gutter abandoned..

The last two incidents in such a short period of time were really shocking. Whether it is a girl child or a child out of wedlock, they are helpless abandoned infants. The authority must take care that these infants don't go into the wrong hands.
Adoption is one of the best and appropriate forms of alternative family care to such infants. Indeed, it is the only way to break the mindset of institutional care for children, which has been posed as the only solution for many years. However, adoption of children continues to be determined by religion of the adoptive parents or the child when religion is known. Only Hindus, Jains, Buddhists and Sikhs can adopt children. The personal laws of other religions - Muslims, Parsis, and Jews do not allow it. Even as it exists for Hindus, the law has serious flaws discriminating against married women. It allows only married men to adopt. Further, it only allows for adoption of children of opposite genders.
The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2000 also provides for adoption making no exception on the basis of religion, so more complications may arise. Besides, the large scale setting up of baby shops and the selling of babies from poor families has caused panic across the country. Greater checks and balances are required to ensure that adoption is legal and proper, and that it is not being used as a means of trafficking of children.

It is better to give birth to unwanted child than kill the foetus. Then even after one is not in a position to keep the child after its birth then instead of abandoning it in public place where it could be in easy prey to animals surrender the child with good adoption agencies so that the infant would get motherly affection and family love to the apple of eye from day one from its adoptive parents.

Very sad news!! Our society has so much respect for females and in some part of India they’ll treat female child as LAKSHMI. However, after reading this news it has proved that something is lacking among our society…. that is proper education and lack of government schemes. Government is spending crores of rupees on dead projects, now it is high time to look into these problems and come out with a generous scheme to protect female population, otherwise our future males will tend to suffer.
