Dont spk something you dont know
    1. The load is absolutely normal as per Govt rules , 2.5 Meter width & 2.5 Metre width cargo is overload , the cargo is not drifting out of the trailer which means that it is a normal load.
    2. Your assumption is highly wrong !!!!. The overall Height is 13 Feet & not 25 Feet
    3. How can you send Escort for a normal Cargo . If escorts are send for normal cargo imagine the high costing impact it would have on daily necessities

    Regards

Again the RTO is to blame.I have been a driver in India transporting beer from Bangalore to Mangalore for over 5 years.I have given the RTO thousands of rupees as bribes for no reason and no fault of mine.If I did not give I was made to wait for two hours till all the other trucks were stopped before and after I was stopped. All they want is a couple of 100 rupee notes and your good to go.This should be stopped and veheicles to be checked for safety and consumption of alchocol is also to be checked.A few rules should be followed from the places like Canada and the USA and then roads will be a safer place to drive on.Drivers have to share the road and not own it.A very important note is there should be more police on unmarked cars and proper lights to show that they are police when they are stop private veheicles. This note will be abused by criminals if not done in a proper way by the police force

Simple physics problem. The weight of the pipes was clearly higher than the weight of the truck it was tied onto. Moreover there was nothing that was hindering its movement either in the direction of truck's movement or backwards. In other words, overloading coupled with lack of proper fastening of the pipes. The truck guys had put the lives of all the drivers from MP to Karnataka.

90% accidents are occurring bcoz of lack of driving knowledge. All this credit goes to license issuing authority. So Licensing authority get punished first then the drivers. If you pay 100 or 200 bugs more you can obtain license without any tests irrespective of your driving knowledge. Thats why most indians are not getting license in middle east countries in their 1st or 2nd test. Its not becoz of left or right hand driving difference, its bcoz of lack of discipline and not to memorise traffic rules.

If any one thinks this is bad ,the worst is yet to come. Be prepared.
Near the Masid in Kannur,Govt is installing walk over bridge and the median is dug to install the pillar. But sadly the dirt from digging is in the middle of the highway lane. If any one misses to notice the pile ,the driver will roll His vehicle flip flop. I have informed 2 Police SI,s and a dozen police men. I have informed Adyar Panchayath. But the dirt is still there. May be this dirt pile could have caused this accident. I hope some media men will publish the scene.

Driving is a privilege & not a RIGHT. We need to change our attitude. Every driver thinks the road belongs to him & him ONLY. Lack of road discipline & common sense are the main reasons for the many of the accidents.

I wonder whether this trailer is hit by another trailor from the back, if so where is the other trailor- disappeared???
The pipes are also not damaged & rear end of the trailor also is not damaged.
So, it looks like the damaged trailor was on overspeed and the the driver applied the break suddenly to avoid hitting the crossing car. Due to the force of brake applied, the pipes slided so much forward and capped off the cabin as well.
Only I can say the driver of the trailor saved the life of the driver and passengers in the car & God saved the life of the driver & passengers in the trailor.

IT IS VERY EASY TO ADVICE - DIFFICULT TO PRACTISE.
    DRIVE SAFELY- REACH SAFELY

This kind of trucks should have a wall between the drivers cabin and loading slots. which might hold the weight and blocks the pipes coming forward and banging the frivers cabin. may be a option in saving life of the driver and cleaner

The transport company has broken all rules of oversize transport

    1. When a fleet of oversize transport vehicles is on a highway they are supposed to be escorted by a pilot vehicle who has to ensure that the road ahead is clear of any obstacles
    2. Oversize transport vehicles are not supposed to be travelling on busy highways during day time
    3. I don’t see any red flags , Oversize Load markings, Amber lights in the front and back
    4. Why the hell is he driving on the speed lane?? Kyun paaji yeh Oversize vehicle hai, Ferrai nahi!!
    5. The height of the load and the ground clearance of the vehicle looks more than 25 ft, who gave the transport company the permit??

There is absolutely no value to Human life in India, inspite of accidents on a daily basis the authorities are least interested in saving innocent lives.

People should come forward voluntarily to stop this death trap on NH66

Why these truck drivers chose to transport at peak hour of the day? Why not early morning before everybody was out. This is a silly accident at peak hour of morning. People like excitements, adventures at the risk of public.

It looks like elephant’s sacrifice to save the ant’s life.
Unless the reduction in volume of two wheelers and SUVs on highways and main roads, the tragedies on roads are unavoidable.
Time schedule, speed limit, strict rules and different tracks are suitable solutions to control the traffic with safety and flexible movement.

I totally agree at Aravind, Blr. First of all these trucks should be made to drive on the left most lane as per their speed. But we dont know how many more years we need to strenghten these kinds of rules...may be 50

Its Trailer driver fault. Keep safe distance depend on your speed - Don Amnon

Don, how can you be so sure that its truck drivers fault? It may be the fault of car driver as well. Truck driver cannot go on speed with such a load. Also possible that car driver just overtook this truck and suddenly he must have taken a turn suddenly. I completely agree that there is no road manners followed as the culprits are not punished. If RTO imposes heavy fines and severe punishment, then these type of accidents can be avoided. In this case, I don't think RTO will be able to find out who is at fault.

Trucks should learn not to drive in the right most lane all the time. I have seen that the trucks keep hogging the right most lane all the while travelling at crawling speeds. This causes accidents for small vehicles while trying to overtake these trucks from the left. This time around, the car did the trick and the truck faltered. The same trucks drive in the left lane the moment they leave karnataka state. I have seen this in NH 4, Gujarat, Maharashtra etc

If you can observe the trailer it is without protection in the front end from the head. This is avoided to reduce the trailer cost. This is major case in alomost all trailers.hence this tragedies.I think this is 3rd such tragedy reported in daiji.

This is the biggest problem of Mangalore Highway...there is no place provided to take the U-turn or right turn....they have to stop on the middle of the road that too on the fast track which is very dangerous

In Mangalore everybody thinks that they are driving Rolce Royce. Taking U turns or left & right turns at undesignated areas, entering one way road in opposite direction to take short cuts is common in the region. People do not realize the dangers involved with such irresponsible behaviors in a hurry to reach their destinations. Road manners is something strictly the RTO has look into in Mangalore especially after the expansion of NH around the region, people tend to drive bit faster than before. Road dividers should be such that not vehicle should or can cross from either sides except form the designated areas. More Radars & RTO or Police Patrol needed in Highways and strict Penalties in the form of spot fines or impounding vehicles should be implemented for bad road behavior. At least with he money collected RTO can improve its facilities to improve road manners in Mangalore. Unfortunately sending RTO staff to any foreign countries for case studies only end up as pleasure trips than learning anything there. Need of the hour is education regarding road manners & responsible behavior while driving.
    Best Regards
