M'lore: Fire evacuation drill held at Canara Higher Primary School Urva

Mangalore, Jan 22: To create awareness amongst school children about fire safety and evacuation procedure during fire mishaps, fire department organized a fire safety and evacuation drill at Canara Higher Primary School, Urva on Monday January 21.

Bejai fire station chief fire officer Shareef, school headmistress Lalana J Shenoy, high school headmaster Ashok Pandith, children and teachers from both schools were present.

The headmistress welcomed the gathering; Shareef explained the importance of the evacuation drill and fire safety.

Rakshith Kamath spoke about the various fire mishaps and fire safety.

Firemen demonstrated the methods and equipments used in various rescue operations. Children enjoyed the demonstration.
