Walsh nervous about first solo album

Los Angeles, Jan 26 (IANS): Singer Kimberly Walsh is feeling jittery as her first solo album nears its release.

The 31-year-old, who is also the member of band Girls Aloud, is nervous about release of her album "Centre Stage" but says this is something which she always wanted to do.

"It's weird having your own album and seeing the hard copy - it's freaking me out but it's exciting. I think because it's something I'm doing that's not competing with anyone else, it feels less scary in a way," Ok! magazine quoted Walsh as saying.

"There's not loads of direct competition, it's just something I really wanted to do," she added.

"Centre Stage" will release Feb 4.
