Cinema 60 percent luck, 40 percent hard work: Parul

Chennai, Mar 31 (IANS): She doesn't come from a film family, yet she has made it big in filmdom. Southern actress Parul Yadav credits luck for her success as an actress.

"If you're a daughter of a producer or a director, you don't have to worry about making a career in films. But when you're nobody, in that case only thing that can most likely fetch you a career in films is luck. The film industry is about 60 percent luck and 40 percent hard work," Parul told IANS.

"I'm sure there are far better looking and better performing actresses, but we don't see each and every one of them on the screen. It's the lucky few who make it to films and even manage to stick around," she added.

Parul's Tamil debut, romantic-drama "Dreams", was not successful but her subsequent release "Govindaya Namaha" went on to be one of biggest hits in the Kannada film industry.

She is currently awaiting the release of Kannada revenge-drama "Bachchan", coming out on April 12, with Kichcha Sudeep.
