When real commando praised reel-life commando Vidyut

New Delhi, Apr 2 (IANS): Actor Vidyut Jamwal is already in news for his daredevil action stunts in upcoming movie "Commando", and he was further elated when a real life commando called and praised him for his work.

"My father was in the armed forces, and I felt that it was my responsibility to showcase a commando's life the right way. To get a pat on the back from a true blue commando of the Indian forces was extremely encouraging and reassuring," Vidyut said in a statement.

"I am so happy and humbled to represent the brave soldiers who protect our borders and fight for us," he added.

Directed by Dilip Ghosh, "Commando" has been produced by Vipul Shah and Vidyut, 27, plays the lead role in the movie. Pooja Chopra plays female lead in the movie.

Releasing April 12, the movie will show the softer side of Vidyut, who falls in love with Pooja's character.

Vidyut entered Bollywood as villain in 2011 movie "Force".
