A very good sign of development. But more infrasture is required like metro train from kudla to airport and to kundapur,Now it is a time for going metro or monorail in mangalore as more development take there will be no space for metro line like mumbai is facing at versova to ghatkopar. It is a wake up call for our karnataka government to see that double line of konkan railway.

Saudis are awakened... They are cutting the jobs.... Let us wait and see the rate of traffic increases or declines in the days....

By the by, a lounge to give a clear view of the take off and landing could have been built if the so called ENGINEERS have some plans in their mind. Lot of students from rural schools come to see Airport. But they go after seeing this MALL like terminal and go back. What is the use ? This was the drawback in old terminal. At least while building the new terminal they could have planned well. To see that MALL like lounge we have to pay. But it is free at City Centre....

    A Thumbs down....

    Mangalore airport lacks futuristic approach.
It even lacks basic necessities for visitors and passengers both.
Roads approaching the airport from all directions are in very bad shape.
last but not least, Saudiazation and absorption of GCC nationals into the workforce will hit hard the passenger traffic in Mangalore and many parts of Kerala.
Lack of tourist facilities in Coastal Karnataka will not help to boost air traffic at M'Lore airport too.
