16 People from the police/society seem to be proud arresting her. I wish they could reprimand those miscreants who are a major threat to the society & those who participate in communal violence.
She should be having some financial or rational problems & the society must look into her problems rather feel proud arresting the poor looking old lady.. Jahana

She is a poor lady and need rehabilitation. Our government and NGO's must come forward and find a solution for old and sick people of our country. police need not feel proud on this and the entire police station is present to show their might. Crores of scams are taking place in the government and goes unnoticed. Let these police guys catch the rapists and murderers who are at large in Mangalore. All the chain owners must give contribution and help our poor MOTHER.

A thief is a thief whether it is Re. 1 or Rs. 25 Crores. This lady needs to be punished. It leaves me to think, Why this lady required so much gold and money? Now coming to photo on Daijiworld, what annoys me is those 2 policemen left and right end, looking at them makes me feel that they are living rich. They background should be checked.

When DK police catch hero type goondas, rowdys or murderers they pose their photos along with accused like a picnic party or they cover their face to give them more chances in future too.

Here see how they treat a poor women equalant to their mothers age.
How they prooved it is she? can't a womem be alike another?
Let court decide who is guilty

These are shameless lazy, fat cops priding themselves for catching a petty thief, while crores of government and public resources are stolen in broad daylight directly under their own long noses and no action being taken in this regard.
Let them go after corrupt politicians and corporates and prove their worth first.
The above photo even proves that it has taken 16 (useless) people to nab this weak culprit. Shame!!!

Mr.Bollu..I agree with you.It is not a police dept mistake. But let me tell you that photograph confused me...
1.First I thought this is a photo of police team from Bantwal who climbed and conquered Mount Everest.
2.Then I thought this is a photo of police team who won GOLD medal in World Shooting Championship
3.Finally I thought it must be a photo of police team who won Rashtrapati Award.
At last I realised after seeing photo of old woman..The Greatest Indian Police from Bantwal..

While theft is something no one supports, I dont think this old lady would have been stealing by choice. And I dont think the cops must have taken so much of pride in catching a old lady, when there are so many bigger thieves they may be letting go by choice.
Glad the cops did thier jobs. But sad they try to get media mileage.

Sad to see the photography how an elderly lady is treated. Yes she may be wrong but it is possible she may be doing it out of compulsion. Look at how the police staff is beaming as if none of them are involved in corruption or bribery issues. Sad state of the nation.

she must be Rowdy Rathore's mother. see how he was doing at the weddings.

but for one so called 'chain snatcher' see the great number of people from Police Dept posing for the photo.

hope the chain holders will get their chains back after all this media show. this is important.

to get it back, you have to prove it is yours, and to do that, you have got to go to the court and spend more money than the chain cost.

so remember, it is not easy.

at least let the poor woman off after some counselling and community service.

This photo shows clearly how strong our police force is for whom we, tax payers are paying. To catch an old, weak chain snatcher woman 16 police people are involved. Any layman can judge the efficiency of our police force. Can we imagine the police force required to arrest a underworld person supported by politicians??

She is an elderly woman, like anybody's mother.
Two reason why she is doing this
    1) She is mentally not stable
    2) She has no one to feed her and take care of her
She should be properly counseled and Govt. should take care of her.

She is doing theft to run her family ?? I dislike your quote 1000 times. In that case,70% mothers would have done the same thing all over the world. She is cold blooded thief.Targetting small children and looting gold belongs to children's parents who bought it with their hard work.
Some people can't avoid their habit. They are addicted to it.
