Los Angeles, Jun 6 (IANS): Designer Karl Lagerfeld wants to marry his pet cat Choupette, who has two personal assistants and her own iPad.

The 79-year-old is so besotted with his feline friend that he pays for two maids to provide care for her around the clock in Paris.

The Chanel designer also has an iPad for his 22-month-old white Siamese pet, reports contactmusic.com.

The designer said in an interview to CNN that he is disappointed there is "no marriage, yet, for human beings and animals".

"I never thought that I would fall in love like this with a cat," he added.

Choupette has already gained over 1,200 likes for her own page on social networking site Facebook, which features pictures of her eating a king prawn cake prepared for her first birthday last year.

She is brushed twice a day by her two caretakers and she also gets regular manicures. Her caretakers also take note of her daily activities so that the star designer can be updated whenever he gets home.
