Director K.V. Anand denies casting Alia Bhatt


Chennai, Jul 10 (IANS): Cinematographer-turned-director K.V. Anand has refuted rumors that he has cast young Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt in his upcoming yet-to-be-titled Tamil film starring Dhanush.

Following a Facebook update from a fake profile under the name of K.V. Anand, it was reported in some section of the media that Alia had been finalised for the project.

Clarifying the news on his Twitter page, Anand posted: "It is not my official (Facebook) page. Fake. I never typed so many words. We are still searching. I will share the news once I confirm someone."

Known for helming Tamil films such as "Ayan", "Ko" and "Mattrraan", Anand recently announced his new project with Dhanush. He will start shooting as soon Dhanush is done with upcoming Tamil comedy "Naiyaandi".
