As a result of bad planning and construction quality of 48000 highways the general public is sufffering today. If not all most are of sub standard quality. A quick example of a city road though not a highway is of the stretch between Mannagudda to temple square. The road is always congested and unplanned and sub tandard work was carried on courtesy Yogish Bhat. DUE TO BAD ROADS AND NO PROPER MOTORABLE ROADS SUCH ACCIDENTS BOUND TO HAPPEN.

LATEST STATISTICS FROM UPA SAYS :

48000 KM HIGHWAYS WERE CONSTRUCTED DURING NDA IN 6 YEARS.

AND ONLY 16000 KMS DURING UPA IN NINE YERAS.
