Alia keen on period film


Mumbai, Jul 16 (IANS): Watching "Lootera" has left an impact on young actress Alia Bhatt, who now wants to do a period film. She is not lured in just for the story, but also for the kind of style and look that it promises.

"I would, at least once in my career, love to do a period film. I think a period film is not only very emotional and very dramatic, the kind of fashion you get to do is outstanding," the 20-year-old said here Monday at the unveiling of the cover of Harper's Bazaar magazine featuring her.

"It's ostentatious, beautiful, vibrant and everything is detailed. So I would love to do a period film, not only for the role, but also for fashion," she added.

Alia even had a special word of mention for the recently released Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh-starrer "Lootera", the story of which is set in 1950s.

"Of course, I love 'Lootera'. If you see, 'Lootera' is very beautiful. Every scene is delicate and yet stands out in your face," Alia said.

Talking about the kind of films she wants to do in her career, Alia said: "I have an idea of the different kind of films I want to do. I just want to do lots of films and everything should be different, something that challenges me and caters to the need of the audience as well."

Alia has finished shooting for Imtiaz Ali's "Highway" with Randeep Hooda. She is currenly shooting for "2 States" with Arjun Kapoor.
