Delay in 'Arrambam' increased hype: Vishnuvardhan

Chennai, Jul 31 (IANS): Director Vishnuvardhan, busy wrapping up Ajith Kumar-starrer Tamil action-thriller "Arrambam", which has been on floors for over a year now, feels the delay has certainly increased the hype.

The movie is set for a September release.

"I am glad with the overwhelming response I received for the title. The delay was unintentional, but we are glad that in a way the delay also increased the hype around the movie," Vishnuvardhan said in a statement.

Finalising the title "Arrambam" was also a time consuming process. It was recently announced and it has created quite a buzz.

"Ajith plays the central character of a valiant warrior. Arya and Nayanthara play important characters that circle around Ajith," added the statement.

After Tamil blockbuster "Mankatha", Ajith will once again sport salt and pepper look in the film.

"The 'salt and pepper' look suits Ajith sir so well and I honestly believe nobody can match him in this style. The film has a racy script. It will be much faster than our earlier film together 'Billa'," said Vishnuvardhan.

"Arrambam" also features Tapsee Pannu, Rana Daggubati, Mahesh Manjrekar, Atul Kulkarni, Suman Ranganathan and Kishore.

The film has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while Sri Satya Sai Movies has produced it.
