Mangalore: Security guard ends life on railway track, donates organs

Mangalore, Aug 9: A security guard from the city ended his life on railway track near Thokottu overbridge here on Friday August 9.

The deceased is identified as Manikanta (42). He was working as a security guard in Car Street.

The reason behind the suicide is yet to be ascertained.

Before committing suicide, Manikanta set an example to all. In a note found in his pocket, he said that he wants his organs to be donated to the needy, and the remaining be given to a medical college.

Manikanta was married to Sunitha.

Mangalore railway police have registered a case.

Ullal police visited the spot. Last week, in a railway accident at the same place, a man from Sundaribagh in Ullal was killed, it is learnt.

    On death Manikanta has proved that he is superior to many on offering his organs to the needy and body to the Medical College.We pray to grant eternal peace to the soul of the departed and strength to withstand this irreparable loss to the family.Thanq.
